A&D GC-3K for electronics, fasteners and kitting is especially useful when the business manages many recurring SKUs and wants fast unit-weight retrieval instead of rebuilding every part setup manually. The 3 kg platform handles bins and sample lots while AIS, ACAI, 1,000-item memory and MicroSD support higher-volume inventory workflows.
Electronics and lightweight components
For terminals, contacts, pins and other light components, fine mode can calculate unit weights down to 0.005 g when a sufficiently large sample is weighed. That does not mean the scale can directly weigh a single 0.005 g part. Use enough pieces to create a strong total mass signal, control static and validate a hand-counted sample before making inventory decisions.
Kitting and assembly
Store frequently used unit weights and limits, then use comparator lights/buzzer to help operators hit kit quantities. Password/key lock limits accidental edits. If a kit includes several different components, count each SKU separately unless the total-kit-weight method has been specifically validated; mixed-part mass can conceal missing light components.
Receiving and supplier changes
AIS can recall known item data quickly, but a supplier change should trigger a unit-weight check. Coatings, plating, moisture and dimensional tolerance can shift average piece mass. Use a current representative sample and ACAI rather than trusting old memory simply because the item code is unchanged.
Cycle counting away from a desk
USB mobile-battery power and the detachable display make GC practical on rolling inventory carts. Export or manage item data through MicroSD/WinCT-Counting, but verify the scale after movement and keep the platform off unstable shelving or vibrating carts while a measurement is taken.
Dual-scale expansion
For extremely light parts, connect a higher-resolution A&D balance to establish unit weight. For bulk counts larger than 3 kg, connect an industrial base through the supported AD-8561 setup. This lets GC act as the counting controller across different capacities, but each connected weighing device needs its own calibration/verification and suitable resolution for the part mass.
