Standard RS-232C

Where data memory or direct output is practical, use it to reduce repeated hand entry. Manual transcription introduces skipped digits, unit errors and decimal-place mistakes. Still, electronic transfer should preserve the unit and context, not just the numerical value.
Troubleshooting communication
When the balance weighs correctly but does not communicate, isolate the interface problem. Check the cable, connector, COM port, baud/data format, print/output mode and receiving application. Test with a simple known-good terminal or A&D tool before blaming the weighing electronics.
