A&D HT-300 is a 310 g × 0.1 g compact portable scale designed for classrooms, crafts, jewelry components, small samples and field kits that value simple operation and organized storage. It runs from four AA batteries, includes a stackable carrying case and provides approximately 450 hours of alkaline-battery operation under A&D’s stated conditions.
For real-world use cases, read the HT-300 classroom, jewelry, craft and sample guide. For external calibration, batteries, storage and fault diagnosis, use the HT-300 calibration and troubleshooting guide.

HT-300 specifications
Capacity is 310 g and readability is 0.1 g. The standard pan is 132 × 130 mm, overall dimensions are approximately 195 × 136 × 44 mm and the LCD characters are about 13.5 mm high. A&D lists g, oz, ozt, tael, tola and Newton among the available units; lb-oz is specifically unavailable on HT-300. The optional HT-10 SUS304 pan can be selected when a stainless weighing surface is preferred.
Included carrying case and identification system
The included case protects the scale during normal storage and transport and can stack with other HT cases. A name-plate holder, pen holders and three interchangeable color bars make it easier for schools, labs or field teams to identify assigned scales. The rear security slot accommodates an anti-theft lock where shared equipment is left in a classroom or workroom.
Power and portability
Four AA batteries are easy to source and support approximately 450 hours of use. An optional AC adapter is available for fixed stations. After transporting the scale in its case, place it on a rigid level surface, let it stabilize and check zero plus a known weight before important measurements. The carrying case protects the instrument but does not eliminate the need for verification after movement.
External calibration and application limits
HT-300 requires an external weight for calibration. Use an appropriate calibrated reference after the scale is stable and verify independently afterward. The model is not identified by A&D as washdown, intrinsically safe or legal for trade, and it has no listed counting or data interface. It is best used for internal process, education and general measurement where 0.1 g readability meets the requirement.
HT-300 versus HT-500
HT-500 increases capacity to 510 g while keeping 0.1 g readability and the same footprint. Choose HT-300 when 310 g is enough and the lower-capacity model meets the task. Choose HT-500 when containers or samples regularly approach the HT-300 limit. For kilogram-range work, HT-3000 or HT-5000 provides 1 g readability.
