Calibrating a floor scale after installing an MNM GX-1SH-2.5K load cell requires more than adjusting indicator span. A multi-cell platform must first distribute load correctly and produce similar response at every corner. The practical order is mechanical inspection, corner testing, junction-box balance if applicable, unloaded zero, known-load span and final repeatability checks.
Mechanical Checks Before Calibration
Set the scale on a firm level surface. Confirm all feet contact the floor and can articulate as designed. Make sure the deck does not touch ramps, walls, debris or shipping bolts. Inspect the new cell's spacer and mounting hardware so its height matches the other corners. A deck that rocks or binds cannot be corrected electronically with good results.

Perform a Corner Test
Use the same known test load at the same relative position near each corner. Let the reading stabilize and record every result. The goal is similar response, not merely a correct number in the center. If the replaced corner differs greatly, inspect mounting, foot movement, wiring and load-cell compatibility before using a trim potentiometer to hide the problem.
Balance the Junction Box if the Scale Uses One
Many four-cell floor scales use a summing box with individual corner trim. Make small adjustments, repeat the same corner test and work toward balanced response. Do not chase each corner with large random adjustments. If one channel cannot be brought into range, test that sensor and cable rather than exhausting the trim adjustment.
Set Zero and Span at the Indicator
Once corners agree, establish unloaded zero in the indicator and apply suitable known test weight for span. Follow the actual indicator manual because menu sequences differ among brands and models. The GX load cell listing does not specify one mandatory indicator, so this article intentionally does not invent a service-menu code. Enter the real test load, save calibration, remove it and confirm return to zero.
Final Verification
Repeat center and corner checks after span. Apply the same load several times to evaluate repeatability. If possible, verify more than one point through the weighing range.
