How to Calibrate the MNM Comp-3K-0.1 3,000 lb x 0.1 lb LP7515 Scale
MNM Comp-3K-0.1 calibration should verify the entire 3,000 lb x 0.1 lb compression system: mechanical fixture, S-type sensor, cable, LP7515 configuration and reference force. Fine displayed resolution makes stable mechanics especially important because small fixture movement can look like a meaningful change on a 0.1 lb display.

Do not use an undocumented button sequence
The product identifies the indicator as LP7515, but public documentation can vary by version/market. Use the exact LP7515 manual for your supplied unit to enter calibration mode and identify zero/span parameters. Do not substitute the OP-901 C01–C06 key sequence unless the indicator is actually an OP-901.
Pre-calibration checks

Apply a traceable known compression force/load smoothly and hold it stable.
Enter the known value in the LP7515 span/loading calibration step and save only after the reading has stabilized.
Unload and confirm return to zero, then check additional force points through the intended operating range.
Verify 0.1 lb indication is actually useful
After calibration, place a stable repeatable reference on the system and watch the reading. If it wanders by several tenths of a pound or more, investigate mechanical vibration, temperature, cable effects, electrical noise and fixture friction. A fine display does not improve the process if the physical setup is less stable than the displayed increment.
Peak Hold verification
First verify static calibration. Then run a repeatable compression event at a controlled loading rate several times. Similar tests should produce similar Peak Hold values. If peak readings vary widely while static readings are stable, look at the test method, rate, spring/part seating and fixture movement before changing calibration.
