MNM 7510-A Stainless Indicator for Washdown, Food, Floor & Process Scales

MNM Scales: (832) 290-3120 • mnmscales@yahoo.com. Ask MNM to confirm the required environmental rating and correct scale cable before installing the 7510-A in a wet or sanitation-sensitive area.

MNM 7510-A Stainless Indicator for Washdown, Food, Floor & Process Scales

The MNM 7510-A stainless indicator is a strong fit for weighing systems where corrosion resistance, cleanability and industrial durability matter more than the low cost of a plastic enclosure. Its feature set also suits floor platforms, hoppers, batching stations and process weighing that need tare, hold, accumulation or serial output.

Wet-Area and Food-Process Planning

Stainless construction is useful around humidity, splashes and frequent cleaning, but enclosure rating matters. The published sources used here say splash-proof rather than publishing a high-pressure washdown IP rating. Mount the indicator away from direct hose streams unless MNM confirms the required rating, use appropriate cable glands/connectors, and protect the junction box/load cells to the same environmental standard.

Floor and Platform Scales

For a four-cell floor platform, the stainless indicator should be paired with mechanically free load-cell mounts and a correctly trimmed junction box. After indicator replacement, verify all corners before final span. A stainless indicator cannot compensate for water intrusion in the junction box or a corroded load-cell cable.

Hopper, Tank and Batching Systems

Gross/Tare, Pre-Set Tare, accumulation and RS-232 can be useful in ingredient and process applications. The mechanical vessel installation must isolate piping forces and side loads so the load cells measure vessel weight rather than pipe strain. Calibration should be performed after the final piping, guards and process hardware are installed.

Remote Display and Printer Workflows

The 7510-A/OP-900 family can connect to remote displays and printers. This is useful when operators need a sanitary local indicator plus a larger remote display outside the work area, or when a production record/ticket is required. Document baud rate, communication mode and cable pinout during commissioning.

NTEP Considerations

MNM lists NTEP approval for 5,000 divisions and COC 20-069. NTEP approval of an indicator does not automatically make every custom scale installation Legal-for-Trade. The load cells, platform, configuration, sealing and local inspection requirements still matter.
