Four MNM 2,500 lb shear beams can form the sensing foundation of a custom floor, pallet or warehouse platform when the deck and frame transfer load predictably to all four corners. This is a common industrial architecture because four shear beams allow a large deck to measure off-center loads after proper corner correction.

Capacity Planning for a Platform

Do not size the platform only by multiplying four cells by 2,500 lb. Subtract dead deck weight and allow margin for unequal corner loading, pallet jack impact, concentrated loads and structural deflection. A load near one corner can put much more than one-quarter of the total weight on a single sensor.

Why Adjustable Feet and Spacers Matter

The supplied feet help the platform find four stable support points and reduce unwanted side force. Spacers establish the mounting geometry between the load cell and frame. All four corners should use equivalent hardware and height so the deck is not preloaded or twisted before any weight is applied.

Junction Box and Corner Correction

Route all four sensors to a compatible summing box, then corner-trim the platform with the same test load at each corner. Only after the corners agree should final indicator span calibration be completed. This sequence is especially important for large pallets because the center of gravity rarely lands exactly in the middle of the deck.

Warehouse Use Cases

Potential applications include receiving/shipping platforms, pallet weighing, ingredient totes, production staging, parts bins, scrap containers and custom material-handling stations. For Legal-for-Trade use, the finished scale—not just the component load cells—must meet the applicable approval, installation and service requirements.
