The MNM MS-1-1K 1,000 lb S-type load cell for hoist, hopper and industrial force measurement is a flexible bare sensor for builders who already have—or want to select—their own indicator and mechanical system. Its 3 mV/V strain-gauge output can be integrated into suspended weighing, tension testing and custom machinery when the electronics are compatible and the load remains axial.

Hanging Load and Hoist Measurement

Place the S-beam inline between properly rated attachments so suspended force travels through its axis. A compatible indicator can provide live weight/force, tare and optionally Peak Hold. This format works for controlled hanging measurements and test fixtures; the load cell itself is measurement equipment and does not replace rated rigging hardware.

Suspended Hopper and Tank Weighing

S-beams are commonly used where a vessel is supported in tension. One or multiple sensors can measure the vessel and contents, but all suspension points need predictable load sharing and flexible process connections so piping or structure does not bypass force around the load cells. Multi-cell systems require summing and corner/load-sharing verification before final span calibration.

Industrial Test Stands

The 1,000 lb capacity works for actuator thrust, cable tension, pull testing, component compression and assembly-force studies. Choose fixtures stiff enough for the maximum test force and use self-aligning joints where useful. For pass/fail tests, pair the load cell with a calibrated indicator or data-acquisition system and document the test method.
