The MNM Scales MS-1-1K 1,000 lb S-type load cell is a 3 mV/V alloy-steel transducer for tension and compression measurement in hanging scales, suspended hopper systems, industrial test stands, force fixtures and OEM weighing equipment. The 1,000 lb rating offers more capacity than a small laboratory force sensor while remaining practical for custom machinery and medium-duty fixtures.
Published Electrical and Performance Specs
Rated output is 3.00 ± 0.01 mV/V. Nonlinearity and hysteresis are each ±0.02% full scale; repeatability is ±0.01% full scale; 30-minute creep is ±0.02% full scale; zero balance is ±1.00% full scale. Input resistance is 385 ± 15 ohms and output resistance is 350 ± 5 ohms, with insulation resistance of at least 5000 megaohms. Nominal excitation is 10 V DC/AC.
Temperature effect on zero and output are each listed as ±0.02% full scale per 10°C. The compensated range is -10°C to 50°C and operating range is -20°C to 60°C. Safe overload is published as 120% full scale. The cell includes a 20 ft cable.

Wiring: Red, Black, Green and White
MNM specifies red as excitation/input +, black as excitation/input -, green as output/signal + and white as output/signal -. Use functional terminals on the indicator rather than assuming another brand's colors are identical. Shield/drain handling depends on the complete installation and indicator documentation.

This capacity fits hanging load measurement, suspended hopper/tank weighing, medium-duty cable tension, actuator testing, production pull tests, machinery force measurement and custom load-cell retrofits. In both tension and compression, the critical mechanical rule is to keep the force centered through the S-beam's working axis.
