A&D HL-200i is a 200 g × 0.1 g compact portable scale for classrooms, home and office use, crafts, kitchen samples and small components. It combines a 130 mm round pan, simple power/re-zero keys, four-AA operation and approximately 1,000 hours of alkaline battery life in a lightweight 500 g housing.
For niche uses, read the HL-200i classroom, craft and small-component guide. For external calibration and battery care, use the HL-200i calibration and troubleshooting guide.

Core specifications
Capacity is 200 g and readability is 0.1 g. A&D lists 0.1 g repeatability, approximately ±0.2 g non-linearity, five display updates per second and overall dimensions of 130 × 192 × 51 mm. Units include g, oz, carat and tael. The carat setting is a mass unit, not an item-counting mode.
Battery life and optional accessories
Four AA batteries provide approximately 1,000 hours at 20°C with the five-minute sleep mode. An AC adapter, stainless-steel pan and plastic carrying case are optional. The standard pan and housing should be used in a dry environment; an optional stainless pan does not make HL-i washdown or IP rated.
External calibration and feature boundaries
HL-200i uses external calibration and should be verified after movement or impact. It has no listed RS-232C, USB, comparator, stored piece-counting function or legal-for-trade approval. Choose it for direct internal weighing. The ct unit means carats; it does not count components.
HL-200i versus HL-2000i
Both models use the same 130 mm pan and basic housing. HL-200i offers 200 g × 0.1 g for lighter samples. HL-2000i offers 2000 g × 1 g for bowls and larger materials. Select the lowest capacity that safely fits the task, because the smaller model provides finer direct resolution.
