A&D FZ-1200i internal calibration lets a 1220 g × 0.01 g balance adjust with its built-in mass instead of requiring an external kilogram-class standard for every routine calibration event. That convenience is valuable, but verification with independent known masses remains the stronger check of installed performance.
Calibration and verification
Stabilize and level the balance, clear the pan and run internal calibration. Then apply independent test weights that represent normal workload. Record expected value, observed value, error and acceptance criteria. If a check fails, investigate level, pan contact, vibration, drafts, temperature and test-weight condition before repeatedly recalibrating.
Interfaces and option conflicts
RS-232C is standard. Quick USB, Ethernet and rechargeable battery are optional through FXi-02, FXi-08 and FXi-09. A&D states those three cannot be installed simultaneously. Define whether the workstation needs networking, direct PC transfer or portable power before ordering the option configuration.
Underhook, animal pan and troubleshooting
Underhook weighing is supported, and A&D lists the FXi-12 animal pan for the 1200/2000/3000/5000 i group. Accessories consume capacity and can change stability, so verify the complete setup. If readings are unstable, inspect environment and mechanics before assuming an electronic fault.
