A&D FZ-2000i internal calibration provides a convenient built-in adjustment method for a 2200 g × 0.01 g balance, but good measurement control also requires independent verification, stable installation and a deliberate data-interface plan.
Verification across the used range
Run internal calibration after the balance and environment stabilize, then confirm performance with known external weights across the region actually used. A process working from 500 to 1800 g should be challenged within that range. Repeat enough measurements to distinguish random instability from a consistent bias.
Interfaces and option conflicts
RS-232C is included. FXi-02 adds Quick USB, FXi-08 Ethernet and FXi-09 rechargeable battery operation. A&D states these three options cannot be installed simultaneously. Define the workstation architecture before ordering so a later need for networking or portability does not conflict with the original option.
Underhook and troubleshooting
Underhook weighing is supported, and the larger size group can use the FXi-12 animal pan. Any fixture changes the mechanical setup and consumes capacity. If verification fails, inspect level, pan clearance, bench rigidity, airflow, temperature and test-weight condition before assuming an electronic failure.
