A&D FZ-3000iWP IP65 balance combines 3200 g capacity, 0.01 g readability and an internal calibration mass in the protected FZ-iWP platform. It is the highest-capacity model in this specific 0.01 g FZ-iWP group and is useful when large containers, fixtures or batches would exceed the 1220 g or 2200 g versions. IP65 protects against dust and water jets under specified conditions; it is not an immersion rating.
Capacity and measurement performance
The 3200 g range gives significant gross-load headroom while maintaining hundredth-gram readability. The larger FZ-iWP group uses an approximately 150 mm pan and A&D lists around one-second stabilization under favorable conditions. Internal calibration reduces routine handling of large external standards, but independent test weights should still be used for verification according to the facility’s quality plan.
Functions, underhook and animal pan
ACAI counting, percent, comparator, statistics and animal weighing expand the range of applications. Underhook support allows suspended measurements, and A&D lists the FXi-12 animal pan for the 1200/2000/3000 iWP models. Any fixture or pan contributes to gross load and can change stability, so verify the complete assembled system before relying on process data.
Connectivity can change the environmental rating
RS-232C is standard. FXi-02 Quick USB, FXi-08 Ethernet and FXi-09 rechargeable battery are optional, but A&D states that installing any of those options removes IP65 compliance from the configured balance. The three options also cannot be installed simultaneously. A wet-area buyer should preserve the base configuration unless optional hardware provides more value than the original IP65 requirement.
