A&D FZ-3000iWP IP65 cleaning, calibration and troubleshooting should be handled as a sequence because a freshly washed or moved precision balance can show temporary drift from moisture, temperature and mechanical disturbance even when no permanent fault exists.
Cleaning boundaries and recovery
Use cleaning methods within IP65 water-jet and dust-protection boundaries. Do not submerge the balance or assume high-pressure steam or every chemical is compatible. Remove debris from around the pan without forcing it into the mechanism, then let the unit dry and return to stable room conditions.
Calibration and independent verification
Once stable, run internal calibration and then challenge the balance with independent known weights across the portion of the 3200 g range used in production. A single tiny test weight does not adequately verify a process operating near several kilograms. Record observed error and acceptance criteria according to the site quality system.
Interfaces and troubleshooting
RS-232C is standard. Installing FXi-02 USB, FXi-08 Ethernet or FXi-09 battery removes IP65 compliance and the options are mutually exclusive. If readings remain unstable after drying, inspect level, pan clearance, bench rigidity and sample motion. Compare a dry known mass; if it is stable but process samples are not, investigate the process before requesting scale service.
