MNM GX-1-5K Four-Cell Kit for Heavy Floor, Pallet & Warehouse Scales

The MNM GX-1-5K package of four 5,000 lb shear beam load cells is well suited to heavy floor, pallet and warehouse weighing platforms when the frame and mounting system are designed around the exact cell geometry. Four cells allow one sensor at each corner, providing a stable platform architecture and serviceable junction-box layout.

Platform capacity is an engineering decision

Four 5,000 lb cells do not automatically make a safe 20,000 lb floor scale. Platform dead weight, uneven loading, forklift impact, off-center pallets, dynamic shock, frame deflection, foot geometry and desired overload margin all need to be considered. Choose a scale rating that protects the sensors and structure during real loading—not only perfectly centered static loads.

Warehouse applications

  • Pallet weighing and shipping/receiving checks.

  • Heavy parts and fabricated assemblies on floor platforms.

  • Inventory or process weight checks where large items are placed by pallet jack or forklift.

  • Custom rolling-cart, skid or material-handling platforms when loads can be transferred safely to the four supports.

Design details that improve weighing performance

  • A rigid frame that distributes load to the four cell locations without excessive twist.

  • Feet and spacers installed consistently so each corner can carry load without binding.

  • Mechanical stops or overload protection designed so they do not touch during normal weighing.

  • Cable protection from forklifts, pallet jacks, sharp edges and washdown/chemical exposure not appropriate for the wiring.

Corner calibration is essential

A floor scale needs to read consistently whether a pallet sits near the center or toward a corner. After installation, level the platform, perform a same-load corner test, trim the junction box, set zero and span, then repeat the corner test. Skipping corner balance is one of the fastest ways to end up with a platform that is “calibrated” only in the center.

Maintenance in warehouse service

Periodically inspect the deck for trapped debris, bent ramps, damaged feet, loose junction-box connections and cable damage. A platform that suddenly changes by location should be corner-tested before global recalibration. Replacing one load cell also calls for a full corner-balance and zero/span verification.
