MNM Scales 25,000 lb Load Cell for Truck Suspension, Machinery & Structural Compression Testing

For help planning a heavy compression measurement setup, call MNM Scales at (832) 290-3120 or email mnmscales@yahoo.com.

The MNM Scales 25,000 lb load cell for truck suspension, machinery and structural compression testing provides a compact way to place force measurement beneath heavy components, reaction fixtures and support points. Its 1 lb indication is appropriate for many shop and engineering comparisons where the force range extends into tens of thousands of pounds.

Truck and Heavy Suspension Components

Potential controlled uses include comparing heavy coil or leaf-spring assemblies in a test fixture, measuring jacking or reaction force at a designed point, evaluating bump-stop compression and studying component loads during bench testing. A load cell placed under a vehicle does not automatically create a certified axle scale or corner-weight system; the fixture must be designed around the measurement objective.

Machinery and Maintenance Testing

Maintenance teams may need to measure the force applied by a screw jack, hydraulic actuator, clamp, press or support. The low-profile sensor can fit beneath machinery or a reaction plate when sufficient space and safe support are available. Use it to compare before/after conditions or validate a controlled maintenance procedure—not as a substitute for structural engineering or rated lifting/support equipment.

Structural and Component Load Tests

A pancake load cell can measure reaction force in an engineered frame used for beam, bracket, joint or component testing. The support frame and load-introduction plates must be considerably more rigid than the item being measured if the goal is repeatable data. If displacement also matters, record it with a suitable independent sensor so force and deflection can be compared.

Calibration Matters More at High Force

At 25,000 lb, a convenient household-style calibration weight is not enough to validate the full working range. LP7516 documentation recommends a span reference above 10% of capacity and preferably closer to full scale. For demanding applications, use qualified high-force calibration equipment and multi-point verification.
