A&D FX-2000iWP for wet batching and food QC combines 2200 g capacity, 0.01 g readability and IP65 protection with external calibration and advanced process functions. It fills the gap between small laboratory balances and coarser industrial bench scales for users who need accurate ingredient, package or sample work in areas exposed to dust or splashes.
Wet batching and formulation
The 2.2 kg range accommodates larger vessels and batch ingredients than the 1200-size model. Tare still consumes physical capacity, so add container plus maximum material before choosing a model. Use percent mode for relative formulations and verify before critical runs rather than assuming the previous day’s calibration still represents the current setup.
Food QC and package checks
Comparator limits and statistical calculation support fill and sample checks. A process station can use RS-232C to capture individual readings and calculate trends without manual transcription. If weight directly sets a customer transaction, the standard WP model is not the correct legal-for-trade choice; select the WPN version.
Animal weighing
FXi-12 animal pan compatibility and animal averaging/hold make the 2000-size useful for small moving subjects within gross capacity. Keep containment stable, clean and mechanically isolated, and verify with a static known weight before interpreting dynamic animal results.

Internal USB, Ethernet or battery options remove IP65 compliance, so design the workstation around the environmental requirement first.
