A&D GC-15K for warehouse bins and production counting gives users enough capacity for heavier containers and parts while retaining GC’s modern item-search and data-management functions. It is especially useful in maintenance stores, hardware warehouses, receiving and line-side production where the same scale must move among many SKUs.
Hardware and maintenance inventory
Bolts, fittings, bearings and machined components often create sample lots heavier than compact counters can accept. The 15 kg range accommodates larger bins while 1,000-item memory speeds recall. For very small fasteners, use a large sample or pair GC with a higher-resolution balance to establish piece weight more accurately.
Receiving and discrepancy checks
Compare inbound quantities against packing slips without counting every piece by hand. If a shipment comes from a new supplier, verify average unit weight before using the stored item record. ACAI helps refine the estimate, but the scale cannot distinguish a real change in part mass from the old master unit weight unless the operator samples the current lot.
Production line and kit counts
Comparator lights/buzzer can support target quantities, while password/key locks protect settings. The detachable display can be positioned where the operator can see it despite a tall bin. For line-side use, store item data centrally via WinCT-Counting and use controlled memory updates so identical stations do not drift into different unit-weight databases.
Portable cycle counting
GC supports USB/mobile-battery power, useful for warehouse cycle-count carts. Do not weigh while the cart is rolling or vibrating. Stop on a stable surface, verify zero, and periodically test a known weight during long inventory sessions. MicroSD can help move or back up item data between the warehouse and PC.
Frequently asked questions
Why choose GC-15K? Heavier 15 kg bins/lots plus advanced GC memory/connectivity. Can it count small hardware? Yes with appropriate sample size; use an external precision balance for especially tiny pieces. Is mobile power supported? Yes. Can the display detach? Yes. Can item memory expand beyond 1,000? MicroSD extends storage. Is it intended for internal inventory rather than legal sale by weight? Yes.
