The MNM 1,000 lb stainless shear beam kit is a useful starting point for compact platform and process scales where corrosion resistance and moisture sealing are desirable. Examples include ingredient weighing, wet production rooms, washdown-adjacent workstations and industrial platforms that need stainless sensing components.
Stainless Sensors Are Only Part of a Wet-Area Scale
A stainless load cell does not automatically make the complete scale washdown rated. The junction box, cable glands, indicator, frame, fasteners and deck design must also resist the cleaning chemicals and water exposure in the facility. MNM describes the sensors as stainless and moisture sealed; confirm the required ingress/environmental rating for high-pressure or continuous washdown.
Food and Ingredient Platforms
Four 1,000 lb shear beams can support compact ingredient platforms, tote scales, batch-prep stations and custom stainless benches when the frame transfers vertical load evenly. Avoid ledges and crevices that collect product, and make sure cleaning does not leave debris packed around the adjustable feet where it can affect weighing.
Sanitation and Calibration
After deep cleaning or moving the scale, verify zero and corner agreement. A foot that shifts, a deck that is reinstalled against a guard, or moisture in a junction box can change performance. Routine corner checks are especially valuable on portable or frequently cleaned platforms.
Capacity and Point Loading
The four cells total 4,000 lb of nameplate sensor capacity, but concentrated ingredient totes or wheeled carts can put a disproportionate share on one corner. Design the finished platform around the worst expected loading pattern, not just the average total weight.
