A&D EK-200i 200 g × 0.01 g compact precision balance gives twice the capacity of EK-120i while keeping the same hundredth-gram readability and compact 110 mm stainless pan. It is a non-NTEP, external-calibration balance for internal laboratory, jewelry, parts, formulation and quality-control work. Standard RS-232C, ACAI counting, percent and comparator modes make it useful for both individual measurements and small production workflows.

Specifications and performance
MNM lists 200 g capacity, 0.01 g readability, 0.01 g repeatability and ±0.01 g linearity. The pan is 110 mm diameter, display refresh is about 10 times per second and the default calibration mass is 200 g. Counting can display about 20,000 pieces when capacity allows, using 0.01 g minimum unit weight. Percent mode uses a minimum 1 g reference.
Confirmed non-NTEP model
A&D’s current U.S. EK-i model matrix lists EK-200i without an NTEP designation and identifies the trade models separately. Use EK-200i for internal measurement and process decisions, not a regulated customer sale directly based on weight. This distinction is especially important in jewelry or precious-material environments where a small displayed division can be mistaken for legal trade approval.
Counting, percent and RS-232C
ACAI counting supports small uniform components, percent mode supports relative formulation and HI/OK/LO comparator status assists sorting or filling. Standard bidirectional RS-232C can send data to a PC, printer or logger. The balance also supports optional portable battery operation, making it useful on inspection or inventory carts where AC power is inconvenient.
Calibration and environment
Calibrate externally using an appropriate known 200 g reference, then verify with another known mass. At 0.01 g readability, static, airflow and temperature can influence results. Keep the balance level and isolated from drafts or vibrating benches, and avoid large plastic containers that extend beyond the small pan and touch surrounding surfaces.
Frequently asked questions
Is EK-200i NTEP? No. Capacity/readability? 200 g × 0.01 g. Default calibration mass? 200 g. Repeatability/linearity? 0.01 g and ±0.01 g. Does it count parts? Yes, up to about 20,000 when capacity allows. Minimum unit weight? 0.01 g. RS-232C standard? Yes. Battery available? Yes. Underhook supported?
