A&D EK-610i for jewelry, formulation, electronics and parts counting provides 600 g capacity with 0.01 g readability and an unusually large potential part count for the compact round-pan EK-i format. It is non-NTEP, making it a process and laboratory tool rather than a customer transaction scale. Standard RS-232C supports electronic records while ACAI, percent and comparator functions cover common production tasks.
Jewelry and precious-material production
The 600 g range handles larger finished pieces and material lots than EK-120i/200i while keeping the same 0.01 g display. Use it for internal manufacturing, scrap reconciliation and process QC. A transaction in which customer price is calculated from the displayed weight requires an appropriate legal-for-trade balance instead.
Formulation and laboratory work
Tare a vessel and add components against written targets. Percent mode can compare to a reference of at least 1 g. The 600 g gross capacity gives more vessel headroom than smaller EK-i models, but 0.01 g is still the limit of displayed readability. Choose a 0.001 g model when milligram-level work is required.
High-count small parts
A maximum displayed count around 60,000 and 0.01 g minimum unit weight make EK-610i useful for large batches of tiny uniform parts. Use 25, 50 or 100-piece samples when individual pieces are very light or variable, allow ACAI to refine the average, and validate a hand-counted quantity before trusting a large inventory total.
Electronic records and QC
Comparator limits can supply a quick internal pass/fail judgment while standard RS-232C records weight or count. Verify the station with known weights and known counts before production. If the local scale reading is correct but the stored record is wrong, isolate the data interface rather than changing calibration.
