A&D FZ-1200iWP IP65 balance is a 1220 g × 0.01 g internal-calibration model designed for users who need kilogram-class capacity in a more protected enclosure. MNM’s older product title rounds the capacity to 1200 g, while A&D’s current model matrix lists 1220 g. IP65 means protection from dust and water jets under the rating conditions, not immersion or unlimited-pressure washing.
Performance, calibration and applications
The larger FZ-iWP group uses 0.01 g readability and approximately a 150 mm pan. Internal calibration reduces handling of external kilogram-class masses during routine adjustment, while independent check weights remain important for verification. The capacity fits formulation, food-development batches, wet-adjacent QC, package studies and larger parts where 0.1 g industrial resolution would be too coarse.
Underhook, animal pan and functions
A&D supports underhook weighing and lists the FXi-12 animal pan for the 1200/2000/3000 iWP size group. ACAI counting, percent, comparator, animal mode and statistics provide additional workflows. Any fixture or animal pan consumes capacity and changes the mechanical setup, so verify the complete configuration rather than relying only on bare-balance specifications.
IP65 option warning
RS-232C is standard. FXi-02 Quick USB, FXi-08 Ethernet and FXi-09 rechargeable battery are optional, but installing any of those options removes IP65 compliance from the configured FZ-iWP/FX-iWP balance. The three options also cannot be installed simultaneously. Buyers should decide whether protected environmental performance or optional internal interface hardware is the primary requirement.
