A&D HC-15Ki for warehouse inventory, kitting, fasteners and production counting combines 15 kg / 30 lb capacity with the HC-i family’s highest internal resolution. The scale can display counts up to about 750,000 pieces and store 99 item unit weights. ACAI, target beeping and accumulation help operators count large lots more reliably and with less repetitive setup.
Warehouse cycle counting
Store high-frequency SKUs in memory and use the optional SLA battery to move the scale between bins. Re-level after movement, confirm the stored unit weight against the current lot and validate a known hand count before posting a large inventory change. Supplier or manufacturing changes can shift average piece mass, so an old memory should not be treated as permanent truth.
Fasteners and bulk components
HC-15Ki is well matched to bins of screws, washers, fittings and electronic hardware. Fine counting can work with average unit weights much smaller than the 2 g display division because the algorithm uses aggregate sample mass. Larger samples reduce percentage error. For very mixed or highly variable pieces, another identification/counting method may outperform weight-based estimation.
Kitting and target quantity
Audible Weighing Assist alerts operators as the count approaches a target, while HI/OK/LO comparator logic can support simple acceptance bands. The detachable display can be positioned for easier viewing on crowded benches. Accumulation adds counts from multiple containers into a running total, useful for building kits or palletizing multiple bins.
Data integration
Optional RS-232C can feed an inventory program, printer or logger. WinCT-UFC supports interactive communication and custom UFC formats. Validate the complete record path with a known SKU and count before live use. A correct local count paired with an incorrect software record is a data-integration failure, not a weighing failure.
Frequently asked questions
Is HC-15Ki good for warehouse cycle counting? Yes. How many SKU memories? 99. Maximum displayed count? About 750,000. Can it count parts below 2 g each? Yes using fine average-unit-weight counting, with an adequate sample. Is battery operation available? Yes. Does it connect to inventory software? Optional RS-232C and WinCT-UFC support data workflows. Is it legal for trade? No; it is an internal industrial counting scale.
