A&D HC-3Ki for fasteners, electronics, kitting and cycle counting is strongest when the items are light, numerous and reasonably uniform. The 3 kg capacity and high internal counting resolution let the scale estimate large quantities from a sample, while 99 ID memories and ACAI reduce repeated setup. The system is designed for internal inventory accuracy, not legal-for-trade transactions.
Fasteners and small hardware
Tare the bin, sample a known number of screws, washers or clips and let ACAI refine the average as more pieces are added. A larger sample is better when parts are very light. Fine counting can work with very small average unit weights, but validate the method against a known hand-counted quantity before trusting a large inventory total.
Electronics and tiny components
Light electronic components are a good use case for HC-3Ki because the fine unit-weight threshold is far below the 0.5 g weight-display division. The scale estimates average piece mass from many components. Static, packaging and component variation can still influence results, so sample from the same lot and use a sufficiently large starting quantity.
Kitting and target quantity
Store frequently used item data in the 99 memories and use Audible Weighing Assist to approach a target count. The detachable three-window display shows piece count, unit weight and total weight simultaneously, reducing operator mode changes. For mixed-part kits, count each homogeneous component separately because a scale cannot identify multiple different parts from one combined mass.
Cycle counting on a cart
The optional SLA battery supports roughly 80 hours without interface, allowing the scale to travel through a warehouse. Re-level after movement, recall or revalidate the SKU unit weight and confirm a known sample before posting adjustments. Supplier changes, coatings or manufacturing revisions can shift average piece weight enough to affect a large count.
