A&D SK-2000WP is a 2000 g × 1 g IP65 washdown scale for food prep, seafood, deli, bakery, wet packaging and other processes that need more capacity than SK-1000WP without moving to a 5 kg model. It uses the same washable SUS304 construction, 232 × 192 mm pan, large LCD and long-life six-D-battery system.

Capacity and operating features
Capacity is 2000 g and readability is 1 g. The scale offers tare, zero/net and stability indication, auto power-off and low-battery status. Six alkaline D batteries provide approximately 1,200 hours. The pan accommodates real food trays and bowls more easily than tiny compact scales while preserving a manageable countertop footprint.
IP65 on batteries—not with the adapter
The intended battery-powered configuration is IP65 dust and water-jet resistant. It is not submersible. A&D states that SK-WP is not IP65-compliant with the optional AC adapter connected. Disconnect and isolate the adapter before cleaning, and never assume the wall transformer or connector can be washed because the scale body is marked IP65.
NSF and foodservice use
NSF-compliant construction supports food processing and service. The scale is useful for wet products, ingredients, portions and package checks where one-gram readability meets the tolerance. Clean between raw and ready-to-eat products according to the operation’s sanitation program and verify after significant washdown.
External calibration
External calibration requires a suitable known reference and a stable, dry installation. After calibration, test an independent weight and repeat it several times. If readings change with container position, inspect pan contact, leveling and residue rather than repeatedly changing calibration.
SK-2000WP versus SK-2000WPF
MNM uses the base SK-2000WP name and describes NTEP/NSF approval. A&D’s current U.S. lineup names the approved legal-for-trade configuration SK-2000WPF. Commercial users should confirm the exact supplied suffix and nameplate, applicable certificate and local inspection requirements. A standard process scale does not become approved simply because it shares the same housing.
Model selection
Choose SK-2000WP when 2 kg gross capacity and 1 g readability suit the work. SK-1000WP offers 0.5 g readability at half the capacity. SK-5000WP provides 5 kg × 2 g, while SK-5001WP provides 5 kg × 1 g but is the grams-only, non-NTEP exception in A&D’s U.S. lineup.
