A&D SK-2000WP cleaning and calibration should be organized around the IP65 power limitation. Battery operation supports the washdown enclosure; connecting the optional adapter removes IP65 compliance. Disconnect, isolate and keep the power accessory dry before any wet-cleaning procedure.
Return to the SK-2000WP buyer guide for specifications, or see the food and wet-packaging guide for practical applications.
Safe cleaning sequence
Power off and remove the adapter. Remove gross soil, clean the pan and housing within IP65 limits and avoid immersion. Do not direct extreme pressure at seals or the battery door. Dry thoroughly, inspect under the pan and confirm the battery compartment is correctly closed. Reassemble and perform zero/check-weight verification before use.
External calibration
Place the clean dry scale on a rigid level surface. Use a suitable calibrated reference and follow A&D’s external-calibration procedure. After adjustment, test an independent load and repeat it several times. Commercial SK-2000WPF units may require protected seals and qualified service, so do not alter legal settings casually.
Troubleshooting after washdown
If zero drifts, look for trapped moisture, residue, pan binding, temperature change or vibration. If weight varies by pan position, inspect leveling and support. If operation is intermittent, test fresh batteries and inspect contacts. If the local display is consistently wrong against references after stabilization, calibrate or arrange service.
Battery care
Replace all six D cells together and remove them during extended storage. Clean corrosion safely and keep the battery seal undamaged. Low battery voltage can cause shutdown or unstable behavior. The adapter may be useful for dry bench operation, but the configured scale then loses IP65 compliance.
Legal configuration verification
For regulated sales, confirm SK-2000WPF on the delivered nameplate and verify current approval markings. Do not rely solely on the shortened product-page title. If the supplied unit is not the approved configuration, calibration or inspection cannot change its type status.
