A&D FC-2000i for warehouse hardware and kitting gives operators a 2 kg local platform, ACAI piece counting and 500 stored item setups. It works well for bolts, fittings, electrical components, machined parts and recurring assembly kits that exceed the practical capacity of FC-500i/1000i but still benefit from finer piece sensitivity than the 5 kg and 10 kg models.

Warehouse cycle counting

Recall the correct item ID, tare a standard container and count representative pieces. For high-value stock, verify a known hand count periodically. Mixed parts, oil, moisture or debris can shift average unit weight even when the weighing scale itself is operating correctly.

Receiving and vendor verification

Compare delivered quantities against purchase orders without manually counting every piece. When a new supplier or part revision arrives, create a fresh average piece-weight sample before using stored data. A small percentage change in unit mass can become a large absolute error across thousands of pieces.

Assembly and kit completion

Comparator limits can flag low, correct or high quantities when the unit-weight setup is stable. Use the simplified operation mode if operators only need a limited set of functions. For kits containing several part types, count each SKU separately rather than relying on total kit mass unless the process has been specifically validated for that method.

Scaling up with a remote platform

FC-05i supports a remote scale for larger bins or bulk inventory. Establish or recall the unit weight using the appropriate scale, then switch to the remote platform for quantity. Calibrate and verify the remote platform independently because its resolution and mechanics differ from the local FC-2000i platform.

Frequently asked questions

Is FC-2000i good for warehouse hardware? Yes within 2 kg local capacity. Can it count tiny parts? Fine mode supports a 0.002 g minimum calculated unit weight with adequate sampling. Does it store SKUs? Up to 500. Can it connect to inventory software? Yes through RS-232C/supporting converters. Can I count bulk bins above 2 kg? Use a compatible remote platform rather than overload the local scale.
