A&D FS-15Ki is a 15 kg / 35 lb IP65 stainless checkweigher with selectable 1 g, 2 g and 5 g metric resolutions, fast comparator judgment and 100 stored product-limit settings. It is well suited to food packages, meat/seafood trays, prepared foods, produce and production checks where 6 kg capacity is insufficient. For U.S. legal-for-trade use, A&D separately identifies the FS-15KiF configuration.
15 kg capacity and fast response
A&D lists approximately 0.5-second stabilization and 20 updates per second for the current FS-i platform. The 250 × 250 mm pan matches FS-6Ki, but the higher 15 kg capacity accommodates larger packages and containers. Bright tricolor LEDs and the analog sweep reduce decision time for repetitive checkweighing.
IP65 stainless food construction
SUS304 display housing and weighing pan plus IP65 protection are designed for hygienic, splash-prone work. NSF compliance supports food-industry sanitation requirements. Clean with appropriate procedures and verify after washdown; IP65 does not mean unlimited chemical compatibility or submersion.
Comparator memory and filling control
Store 100 sets of limits/targets and use the 60-segment sweep to approach a target while filling. Target-weight and upper/lower-limit modes support different production strategies. For high-mix operations, use clear item naming/SOPs so operators load the correct memory before changing product.
Battery and connectivity
Optional SLA battery operation is around 80 hours under A&D’s stated low-power conditions. FS-03i adds RS-232C plus comparator relay, while FS-04i adds RS-422/485 plus relay; the two options cannot coexist. Data output can feed process records, printers or automation, but preserve the environmental sealing specified for the installed option.
U.S. FS-15KiF legal-for-trade version
A&D U.S. lists FS-15KiF as a 35 lb × 0.002 lb legal-for-trade IP65 static checkweigher with NTEP/Measurement Canada approval. This legal configuration should be specified where price or another regulated transaction depends on weight. The base global FS-15Ki offers selectable resolutions; those selectable high-resolution settings should not be assumed to be legal trade intervals.
