A&D FS-30Ki is the high-capacity member of the FS-i IP65 stainless checkweigher family, combining 30 kg / 70 lb capacity with a 380 × 300 mm pan, selectable 2 g, 5 g and 10 g metric resolutions, approximately 0.5-second stabilization and bright tricolor comparator lights. It targets larger cartons, food trays, ingredient containers and production packages that exceed the capacity or platform size of FS-6Ki and FS-15Ki. For U.S. commercial trade, A&D separately identifies FS-30KiF as the legal-for-trade configuration.
Larger pan and 30 kg capacity
The 380 × 300 mm pan gives more support for boxes, trays and ingredient vessels than the 250 × 250 mm pan on FS-6Ki/15Ki. Current A&D data lists selectable 2/5/10 g metric resolution, 20 updates per second and roughly 0.5-second stabilization. Use the highest resolution appropriate for the process, but do not confuse a high-resolution process setting with an approved commercial trade interval.
IP65 and hygienic stainless construction
SUS304 stainless weighing components and IP65 protection support food, ingredient and wet-production environments. A&D describes the FS-i load cell as waterproof/corrosion-resistant and the series as NSF compliant. Clean according to the actual process and chemical compatibility, then verify zero/known weight before production after substantial washdown.
Comparator, analog sweep and 100 memories
Use HI/OK/LO comparator lamps and the 60-segment sweep for rapid filling or pass/fail decisions. Store up to 100 target/limit sets for recurring SKUs. The analog display is particularly useful when an operator is adding product to a large box or tub because it shows direction and relative distance from target without requiring constant interpretation of changing digits.
Battery, RS-232C and automation
Optional SLA battery life is approximately 80 hours under A&D’s stated low-power conditions. FS-03i provides RS-232C plus comparator relay; FS-04i provides RS-422/485 plus relay, and the two options cannot coexist. Use the appropriate interface for printers, PCs or production controls and preserve IP65 sealing during installation.
FS-30KiF U.S. legal-for-trade configuration
A&D U.S. markets FS-30KiF as a 70 lb × 0.005 lb legal-for-trade IP65 static checkweigher with NTEP and Measurement Canada approval. That suffix/configuration matters: the global FS-30Ki family can display multiple resolutions, but a buyer should not assume every selectable resolution is an approved trade interval. Specify FS-30KiF when legal-for-trade use is required.
