Food R&D and ingredient development
The milligram display is useful for small additives, flavor components, preservatives and pilot formulations. Use a clean vessel, control drafts and static, and keep vessel plus material below 122 g. IP65 simplifies cleanup after minor spills, but cleaning agents still need to be compatible with the balance materials.
Chemical, coatings and formulation QC
Small aliquots, coatings, adhesives and chemical additions benefit from 0.001 g display and fast stabilization. Volatile, warm or electrostatically charged samples can move the last digit even when calibration is correct. IP65 is an enclosure rating and does not make the balance intrinsically safe for hazardous atmospheres.
Electronics and small parts
ACAI counting can support small reasonably uniform components. Increase sample size when parts vary and verify against a known hand count before adjusting inventory. Heavy fixtures or trays consume the physical 122 g capacity even after tare.

Statistical calculation and standard RS-232C can support repeated measurements and data capture. Verify units, decimal position and the complete output path with known weights. Choose FX-200iWP or FX-300iWP for more capacity while retaining 0.001 g readability. Choose FZ-120iWP for internal calibration. Choose FX-120iWPN when an approved legal-for-trade IP65 configuration is required.
