A&D FX-200iWP calibration uses external weights, with 200 g and 100 g reference values listed. For the complete product overview, capacities and option comparison, see the main FX-200iWP buyer guide
Calibration workflow
Level the balance and control drafts, vibration, static and temperature. Use a suitable calibrated 200 g or 100 g mass, complete external CAL and then verify with a separate known load. Multi-point checks are useful when the process spans a broad fraction of the 220 g range.
Cleaning and post-clean verification
Use the IP65 capability for easier cleanup but avoid immersion and underside jets. Remove residue around the pan/support, dry the balance and verify zero plus a known reference before returning it to precision work. For food, formulation, electronics and wet-QC examples, see the FX-200iWP applications guide
Connectivity choices
Standard RS-232C is the best starting point when a wet-area data workflow is needed. Use the specified waterproof serial cable. FXi-02 USB, FXi-08 Ethernet and FXi-09 internal battery are mutually exclusive and remove IP65 compliance when installed.
WP versus WPN
FX-200iWP is the standard IP65 process model. FX-200iWPN is the separate approved legal-for-trade configuration. Calibration or inspection does not convert the plain WP into the WPN model.
Troubleshooting
For unstable readings, investigate airflow, static, vibration, evaporation and mechanical contact. For load-dependent error, verify at multiple points. If only transmitted data is wrong, troubleshoot interface settings and cabling rather than calibration.
