A&D FX-3000iWP is a 3200 g × 0.01 g IP65 external-calibration precision balance that brings the FX-iWP feature set to the highest capacity in the current WP family. It supports standard RS-232C, ACAI counting, percent, statistics, comparator, underhook and FXi-12 animal weighing. A&D separately sells FX-3000iWPN as the legal-for-trade IP65 configuration.
3200 g capacity for larger process loads
Capacity is 3200 g with 0.01 g readability and repeatability, ±0.02 g linearity and about one-second stabilization. The 150 mm pan and 3.2 kg gross capacity are useful for larger batching vessels, production samples, packaged goods and fixtures while retaining hundredth-gram display.
External calibration masses
A&D/MNM list 3000 g, 2000 g and 1000 g external calibration values. Choose an appropriate reference for the method, perform CAL only after stabilization and verify with an independent known weight. Multi-point checks are especially useful on the highest-capacity model because real processes may operate over a wide fraction of the 3.2 kg range.
IP65 and production cleaning
IP65 supports dusty and splash-prone production environments. A&D’s cleaning guidance permits direct water cleaning but excludes immersion and underside jets. Keep cleaners compatible with balance materials, dry thoroughly and verify zero plus a known weight after major cleanup.
Animal pan and dynamic weighing
FXi-12 is compatible with the 3000iWP size and animal averaging/hold helps with motion. This is useful for small-animal or other moving-object applications within the 3200 g gross limit. Confirm the accessory does not contact surrounding surfaces and verify the full setup before critical measurements.
Data interfaces and IP65 limitations
RS-232C is standard and can be paired with the designated waterproof cable. FXi-02 USB, FXi-08 Ethernet and FXi-09 battery are mutually exclusive and remove IP65 compliance if installed. Do not advertise the configured balance as IP65 after adding one of those internal options.
FX-3000iWP versus FX-3000iWPN
FX-3000iWP is the standard IP65 process balance. FX-3000iWPN is the separate A&D legal-for-trade model, identified in the current U.S. catalog as NTEP Class II/Measurement Canada Class II. The correct model must be purchased for commercial trade use; ordinary calibration does not change the plain WP model’s approval status.
