A&D HL-3000LWP is a 3000 g × 1 g IP65 compact washdown scale with a larger 174 × 137 mm pan for bowls, trays and packages that do not fit the 128 mm HL-3000WP platform. It keeps the same capacity and readability while improving physical support and reducing container overhang.
For applications and pan-selection examples, read the HL-3000LWP large-bowl, tray and package guide. For cleaning, calibration and LWPNF approval, use the HL-3000LWP technical guide.

Large-pan specifications
Capacity is 3000 g and readability is 1 g. The large pan measures 174 mm wide by 137 mm deep and the scale weighs approximately 950 g. Six AA batteries provide approximately 200 hours. SUS304 construction, tare, zero/net indication, low-battery warning and auto-off make the model suitable for hygienic portable work.
Why the larger pan matters
A broad bowl or tray can bridge against the housing when used on HL-3000WP’s 128 mm pan. The LWP platform provides more support and easier placement, reducing the risk of external contact. It does not increase the 3 kg capacity. Tare also does not increase capacity; vessel plus contents must stay below 3000 g.
IP65, NSF and adapter restriction
The stainless scale is IP65 and NSF listed for hygiene-sensitive food use. Current A&D guidance treats it as dust and water-jet resistant, not submersible. The optional AC adapter removes IP65 compliance, so disconnect and protect it before wet cleaning.
External calibration
Calibrate with an appropriate external reference on a stable dry surface, then verify independently. Test the actual large bowl or tray for contact and position effects. When the model is a legal-for-trade LWPNF configuration, preserve seals and follow qualified service requirements.
HL-3000LWPF versus HL-3000LWPNF
A&D U.S. lists HL-3000LWPF as the process large-pan model and HL-3000LWPNF as the separate NTEP legal-for-trade model. MNM uses the base HL-3000LWP name. Confirm the delivered suffix and approval markings before commercial price-by-weight use.
