A&D HL-3000LWP for large bowls, trays, food and packaging provides the HL-WP family’s 3 kg × 1 g performance on a wider 174 × 137 mm pan. It is designed for users whose containers are awkward on the standard 128 mm square platform.
Review the HL-3000LWP complete buyer guide for pan comparisons. For washing, calibration and legal configuration, use the HL-3000LWP technical guide.
Large bowls and ingredient trays
The larger pan supports mixing bowls, food trays and containers that would overhang the small model. Ensure the vessel remains stable and below 3 kg gross. One-gram readability fits many ingredient and portion tasks, while fine additives may require a separate precision balance.
Seafood and wet food preparation
SUS304 and IP65 help with damp foods and sanitation. Use liners or trays, disconnect the adapter before washdown and verify after cleaning. The larger pan reduces overhang but does not make the scale suitable for containers wider than the platform when they touch another surface.
Packaging and fill checks
Large-pan support is useful for packages and meal trays. The model remains a manual scale without comparator lights or data output. Define acceptable limits in an SOP and use the separate HL-3000LWPNF when weight is part of a regulated commercial transaction.
Choosing small or large pan
Select HL-3000WP for compact containers and crowded benches. Select HL-3000LWP when actual bowls or trays need more support. Capacity and readability are identical, so the decision is primarily physical fit and safe loading rather than measurement resolution.
