A&D HL-3000LWP Cleaning, Calibration, Large-Pan & LWPNF Guide

A&D HL-3000LWP cleaning and calibration benefit from the larger pan, but users must still confirm bowls and packages do not touch the housing or bench. The scale is IP65 on batteries in the intended configuration and loses IP65 compliance when the AC adapter is connected.

Return to the HL-3000LWP buyer guide or read the large-bowl and packaging guide for applications.

Cleaning procedure

Disconnect and protect the adapter, remove gross debris and clean within IP65 water-jet limits. Do not immerse the scale. Dry the larger pan and support area completely, inspect for trapped residue and close the battery compartment correctly. Verify zero and a known load after reassembly.

External calibration and container verification

Calibrate with an appropriate external reference on a dry rigid surface. Verify an independent load, repeatability and representative pan positions. Test the actual bowl or tray for external contact. For HL-3000LWPNF trade units, maintain seals and use qualified service as required.

Large-pan troubleshooting

A low result can still come from a bowl touching the body or bench, even with the wider platform. Drift after washdown may be moisture, temperature or residue. Poor zero return suggests pan binding. If different load positions produce unacceptable variation, inspect leveling, support and possible damage.

Battery and adapter care

Replace all six AA batteries together and remove them for long storage. The manufacturer alkaline estimate is approximately 200 hours. The adapter is useful for dry fixed operation but removes IP65 compliance. Never reconnect power until the scale and work area are dry.

Legal configuration

HL-3000LWPF is the process model and HL-3000LWPNF is the separate NTEP legal-for-trade large-pan model. Match the MNM base-name listing to the delivered nameplate. Calibration and local inspection cannot change a non-approved WPF into an approved WPNF instrument.
