A&D HL-3000WP cleaning and calibration must account for the 128 mm pan: a bowl or tray can remain below 3 kg yet contact another surface and make the reading low. The adapter must also be disconnected because HL-WP is not IP65-compliant with AC power connected.

IP65 cleaning
Disconnect and protect the adapter. Clean the stainless pan and housing within IP65 water-jet limits and do not immerse the scale. Dry thoroughly, inspect beneath the pan and ensure battery seals are correctly installed. Confirm zero and a known weight before production.
External calibration and verification
Use an appropriate calibrated reference on a dry stable bench. Verify with an independent mass after calibration and repeat a working load. For HL-3000WPNF trade units, protect seals and use qualified service. Calibration cannot solve container bridging or a pan support obstructed by residue.
Small-pan container checks
Test the actual empty container and normal load. Ensure no rim or handle touches the body, wall or bench. If safe support cannot be achieved, use HL-3000LWP or a larger platform. An improvised extension can create instability and eccentric loading, so use an appropriate engineered solution.
Power and troubleshooting
Replace all six AA cells together. Drift after washing may indicate moisture, residue or temperature change. Poor zero return suggests pan binding. If the scale is accurate locally but a package appears low only in a certain vessel, suspect container contact. The adapter supports dry use only and removes IP65 compliance.
Legal configuration
HL-3000WPF is the process model; HL-3000WPNF is the separate NTEP legal-for-trade small-pan model. MNM’s base HL-3000WP page should be matched to the delivered nameplate. Calibration cannot convert WPF to WPNF approval.
