A&D HT-5000 is a 5100 g × 1 g compact portable scale that combines kilogram-range capacity with an included stackable case, four-AA battery power and approximately 450 hours of alkaline operation. It is useful for food-prep containers, field kits, education, craft materials, small packages and general internal weighing where a full industrial bench scale is unnecessary.

HT-5000 specifications
Capacity is 5100 g and readability is 1 g. The pan is 132 × 130 mm and the housing measures approximately 195 × 136 × 44 mm. Multiple units include g, oz, lb-oz, ozt, tael, tola and Newton. The optional HT-10 SUS304 pan supplies a stainless surface, while the scale itself remains a compact dry-environment model without an IP washdown rating.
Capacity versus compact pan size
The 5.1 kg capacity is higher than the small 132 × 130 mm pan might suggest. Bowls, packages or fixtures must sit safely on the pan and avoid contact with the case, bench or surrounding objects. A container can be below capacity yet unsuitable because it overhangs or bridges. Use a larger platform scale when geometry prevents full stable support.
Case, batteries and portable use
The included case organizes storage and transport and stacks with other HT cases. Four AA cells provide approximately 450 hours. After moving the scale, set it on a rigid surface and verify zero plus a known load. For a fixed dry workstation, the optional AC adapter reduces battery use.
External calibration and feature boundaries
HT-5000 requires external calibration and independent verification. It does not list counting, comparator, serial data, IP protection or legal-for-trade approval. Use it for manual internal weighing. Choose a specialized counting scale, checkweigher, washdown model or approved transaction scale when those requirements apply.
HT-5000 versus HT-500
HT-500 reads to 0.1 g but is limited to 510 g. HT-5000 extends capacity tenfold to 5100 g and reads to 1 g. Select based on gross load and meaningful tolerance. Extra capacity is useful for bowls and packages, but it should not replace a finer scale when tenths of a gram matter.
