A&D HT-5000 for food prep, field kits, packages and education offers 5100 g capacity with 1 g readability in a small portable instrument. The case and AA batteries make it easy to move, while the compact pan requires careful container selection for kilogram-range loads.

Food prep and ingredient containers
Use HT-5000 for dry ingredient bowls, recipe batches and general food prep where 1 g readability is suitable. The standard scale is not washdown or NSF identified in the manufacturer HT page, so use removable containers, wipe carefully and protect the electronics from spills. The optional stainless pan improves the contact surface but does not create an IP rating.
Small packages and kits
The scale can check small packages, kits and components up to 5.1 kg. A package wider than the pan must not touch the bench or housing. HT-5000 does not include shipping software, a remote display or serial output, so it is best for manual internal checks rather than carrier integration.
Education and field demonstrations
The carrying case, color bars and name plate support shared educational equipment. Field users should protect the scale from moisture, wind and temperature changes. Stop on a stable surface, let the instrument acclimate and verify a known load before collecting data. The case is for transport and storage, not weatherproof outdoor operation.
Craft and workshop materials
Use HT-5000 for resin components, pigments, hardware, molds and material portions when one-gram readability is adequate. Avoid static-prone lightweight containers and keep dust away from pan supports. For piece counts, use a counting scale; HT-5000 has no average-piece-weight counting mode.
