A&D SK-10KWP is a 10 kg × 5 g IP65 compact washdown scale for meat, seafood, produce, bakery, ingredient containers and wet packaging. It combines a 232 × 192 mm SUS304 pan with NSF-compliant construction, six-D-battery operation and approximately 1,200 hours of alkaline battery life.

Capacity and everyday operation
Capacity is 10 kg and readability is 5 g. The scale offers tare, zero/net and stability indication, a 25 mm LCD, auto power-off and low-battery warning. The compact pan works well for bowls, trays and moderate containers, but users should confirm the vessel sits entirely on the pan without contacting the housing or bench.
IP65 battery configuration
The correctly assembled battery-powered scale is IP65 dust and water-jet resistant. It is not submersible. A&D states that the SK-WP series is not IP65-compliant with the optional AC adapter connected. For wet sanitation, disconnect and protect the adapter and keep the electrical accessory outside the wash zone.
NSF food applications
SUS304 and NSF-compliant construction support food processing and foodservice. Ten-kilogram capacity fits larger meat cuts, seafood trays, produce bags, ingredient bowls and package checks. The five-gram display is suited to larger portions and batches; smaller additives may require a finer scale.
External calibration and process verification
SK-10KWP uses external calibration. Use an appropriate calibrated reference on a stable dry bench and verify with independent loads afterward. For processes that operate across a broad range, check more than one representative point. Calibration does not correct a flexing worktable, container bridging or residue beneath the pan.
SK-10KWP versus SK-10KWPF
MNM uses the SK-10KWP name and markets NTEP/NSF approval. A&D’s current U.S. catalog identifies the approved legal-for-trade configuration as SK-10KWPF. For a commercial transaction, confirm the physical nameplate, suffix, current approval and local sealing or placement-in-service requirements before use.
When another capacity is better
SK-5000WP or SK-5001WP is better when 5 kg capacity is sufficient and finer readability is useful. SK-20KWP doubles capacity to 20 kg with 10 g readability. Choose the lowest capacity that safely accommodates container plus product because excess capacity normally brings coarser resolution.
