A&D SK-10KWP cleaning and calibration require the adapter to be disconnected before wet work because the SK-WP series is not IP65-compliant with AC power connected. After cleaning, dry and inspect the compact pan area before performing zero and known-weight verification.

Cleaning procedure
Power off, remove the adapter and protect its connector. Remove gross debris and clean the stainless pan and body within IP65 water-jet limits. Do not immerse the scale or use high-pressure/hot-water sanitation beyond the rating. Dry thoroughly, inspect beneath the pan and confirm the battery door is sealed before reuse.
External calibration and multi-point checks
Calibrate on a stable dry surface with an appropriate reference. Afterward verify zero, repeatability and more than one representative load if the operation uses a broad portion range. For an approved SK-10KWPF, preserve metrological seals and use qualified service where required. Calibration should not be used to compensate for a flexing table or a bowl touching the housing.
Large-container checks
The 10 kg capacity exceeds what some containers can safely place on the compact pan. Confirm the bowl or tray is stable and fully supported only by the pan. Contact with the bench makes the reading low. Test a representative empty container and known load before approving the workstation.
Battery and power troubleshooting
Replace all six D cells as a matched set. Intermittent display or shutdown can indicate low voltage or contact corrosion. If the unit works on the adapter but not batteries, inspect battery orientation and contacts. If it works on batteries but not AC, verify the correct adapter. The adapter remains a dry-use configuration only.
Legal configuration
For trade weighing, inspect the delivered nameplate for SK-10KWPF and current approval markings. The MNM listing uses the base SK-10KWP name, so commercial users should not rely on the web title alone. A non-approved unit cannot become legal for trade through ordinary calibration.
