A&D SK-20KWP cleaning and calibration must account for its 20 kg capacity on a compact pan. A successful calibration cannot correct a wide bin that touches the bench, and IP65 does not apply while the optional AC adapter is connected.

IP65 cleaning sequence
Disconnect and isolate the adapter. Power off, remove gross debris and wash within IP65 water-jet limits. Do not immerse the unit or use pressure/temperature beyond the rating. Dry the scale, inspect beneath the stainless pan and ensure the battery door is secure. Verify zero and a known weight before returning it to use.
External calibration and range verification
Use an appropriate calibrated reference on a rigid dry bench. After adjustment, verify at more than one representative load if the process spans a large portion of the 20 kg range. Repeat a key load to assess consistency. For SK-20KWPF commercial configurations, preserve approved settings and seals and use qualified service as required.
Container bridging and position error
Confirm broad boxes or bins do not touch the bench, display housing or wall. Part of a bridged load bypasses the sensor and makes the result low. Compare a known load in representative positions while maintaining safe support. If position changes produce unacceptable error, inspect leveling, pan support and mechanical damage or choose a larger platform.
Battery and power diagnosis
Replace six D batteries as a set and inspect contacts. A low or intermittent display can be battery-related. The adapter may diagnose a battery problem but creates a dry-use, non-IP65 configuration. Keep the adapter protected and never reconnect it until the scale and area are dry.
SK-20KWPF approval check
Inspect the delivered nameplate for SK-20KWPF and current approval markings before regulated sales. The MNM listing uses the shorter base name. Accurate calibration alone does not establish legal status, and a non-approved configuration should remain process-only.
