The MNM LP7515 / Optima OP-902 weighing indicator is a compact digital readout for bench scales, floor scales, livestock/chute scales and custom load-cell systems. MNM sells the LP7515 as a replacement for OP-902/LP7515 displays and specifies a 4-prong male load-cell connection, RS-232 port, batteries and AC adapter, making it a practical repair or build component when the existing scale platform and sensor are still usable.

Core LP7515 Features
MNM lists lb/oz/kg units, gross/tare/zero, Hold, automatic power-off, low-battery warning, a six-digit 0.7-inch LCD with backlight, splash-resistant keyboard/display, RS-232 output and a stainless wall-mount bracket. The manufacturer documentation also describes optional serial output for a PC or large display and support for up to four 350-ohm load cells.
Where the LP7515 Is Commonly Used
Typical uses include replacing an OP-902 display head, rebuilding a floor or bench scale, connecting a livestock or chute platform, pairing a single S-beam with a local readout, and supporting a four-cell platform through a junction box. The indicator must still be configured and calibrated for the actual capacity and division of the connected scale.
Load-Cell Compatibility
Compatibility involves more than a matching plug. Confirm that the load cell or junction-box output is a strain-gauge bridge the indicator can excite, that total bridge resistance is within the indicator’s capability, and that the quick-disconnect pinout is correct. The LP7515 documentation states support for up to four 350-ohm cells. A multi-cell floor scale normally routes those cells through a summing junction box before the indicator.
Power and Battery Operation
MNM’s current listing includes batteries and an AC adapter. The LP7515 manual describes low-power operation and automatic shutdown under low voltage. Battery life depends strongly on backlight use; the documented version cites roughly 30 hours with backlight use and up to about 100 hours with the backlight off.
RS-232 and Data Output
RS-232 allows the indicator to communicate with compatible computers, printers or displays. It is not USB or Ethernet, and the external device must use matching wiring and communication settings. The OP-902 documentation supports continuous, manual and command-send workflows; the correct choice depends on whether the application needs live data, operator-triggered output or polling by another device.
Calibration, Wiring and Hold-Mode Guides
For a replacement or new installation, begin with the LP7515 wiring, 4-pin connector and RS-232 guide. After the signal is stable and moves in the correct direction, follow the LP7515 / OP-902 custom-capacity calibration guide for capacity, division, no-load zero and applied-load span. Livestock, veterinary and force-test users can choose the correct averaging or peak function in the animal weighing and Peak Hold guide.

FAQ
Is the LP7515 a replacement for OP-902?
MNM explicitly sells its LP7515 for OP-902/LP7515 replacement applications. The connector pinout, scale capacity and calibration still have to match the existing system.
Can it run four load cells?
The LP7515 documentation states that it can drive up to four 350-ohm load cells. Four-cell platforms normally use a junction box to combine and corner-trim the individual cell signals.
