Overhead crane, not a handheld
The CS-1000 is a die-cast hanging crane: elongated upper shackle, swivel hook with latch, 1.2 in five-digit LED, remote (zero / tare / hold / accumulate, 2 × AA in the carton), rechargeable pack plus 9 V adapter, about 20 hours between charges. Datasheet accuracy within 0.29% of full scale. Safety load 150% F.S. Ship weight about 13.5 lb. CS-1000 vs an S-type kit
An S-type kit is a cell in the line, a 20 ft cable, and a readout on the floor. House kits we build in Cypress are always MNM Scales — full name, never a bare nickname. What is the heaviest piece this week, not the brochure maximum? 1000 lb is the ceiling. A 1,200 lb weldment is a different crane.
Are you holding a grip, or hanging from a hoist? Handheld is ElectroSamson. Overhead is CS-1000.
Do you need a remote so one person can tare from the floor? Remote is in this carton.
Is this a Texas sale by weight? Live page prints no NTEP CoC. Process only. Legal-for-trade hanging is a different conversation — NTEP in Texas.

How we hang a known mass in Cypress
The CS-1000 is the crane we roll onto a Houston jib when the shop already has a hoist and does not want a cell in the line. Pete hangs a known mass on the hook at 21249 FM 529 Rd before it leaves if you ask. That is a process check, not a certificate. We will not print Texan-certified on a hanging crane. If a test mass comes up, we say Texan-tested. A legal-for-trade hanging device is a different family we do not pretend this Brecknell is.
Typical Cypress jobs on this 1000 lb body: a fabrication shop lifting fixtures, a rigger checking a one-ton hoist, a receiving dock that already owns an ElectroSamson and just found a 400 lb crate. We have also seen a marina try to hang an outboard on the CS-1000 because the remote looked convenient. Capacity is 1000 lb. The latch hook is in the carton. A rated sling is not. If your lift plan needs a sling, bring your own or say so on the call so we do not ship a head into a missing-hardware argument.
The 9 V adapter in the carton charges the pack. The remote eats two AA cells. If the head dies after a weekend, check the pack first, then the adapter barrel. Die-cast is why this body survives a shop better than the ABS ElectroSamson. It is also why you do not carry it in one hand up a ladder. Hang it. Tare from the floor with the remote. Hold when the load is spinning. Accumulate if you are adding lifts. Those four keys are why Cypress sends this instead of a hanging fish scale with a bigger sticker.
