Front End Loader Scale: Hydraulic Bucket Weighing from Cypress, TX
A yard that still runs every bucket back to a floor scale is wasting lifts. A front end loader scale reads the hydraulic pressure on the machine and totals the load in the cab. All Scales USA sells that kit from Cypress, TX, and we treat the phone call as part of the install — not a cart click with a hope that the hose fitting matches.
The live kit is the Tara Systems TR-1-NK-HE. Capacity follows the machine. The carton is a 5,000 psi temperature-compensated sensor, a 12 ft hook-up cable, a 6-digit LED, and a 12 V power lead. Made in the USA. We stock two listings of the same indicator kit and a third carton that adds the 54005 thermal printer.

What a hydraulic loader scale actually does
This is not a load cell in the bucket pins. A temperature-compensated pressure sensor sits in the hydraulic circuit. When the operator lifts, the indicator converts pressure to weight, locks the reading, and can add successive lifts. Graduation on the live page is 10 lb up to 10,000 lb and 50 lb above 10,000 lb. Accuracy is about ±1% of the lift's capacity — yard and process totals, not a substitute for a legal-for-trade floor scale.
The same carton covers a front-end loader, a forklift, and a backhoe that can take the sensor. The leaf is forklift and loader scales. If you came in searching for an on-board forklift scale or a loader bucket scale, you are on the right kit family.
What we ask on the Cypress call
Call (832) 766-5410 before you order if the machine is not a textbook wheel loader. Pete at pete@allscales.com gets the same questions we ask in the shop at 21249 FM 529 Rd, Cypress, TX 77433.
What is the machine — loader, forklift, or backhoe — and who built it?
What is the hydraulic lift capacity you actually use, not the brochure maximum?
Is cab power 12 V, or do you need a 24 / 36 / 48 V converter? The kit is 12 V DC. Converters are optional, not in the carton.
Do you need a printed ticket for each lift, or is a running total on the LED enough?
Who is putting a T-fitting in the hydraulic line? A T-fitting is not assumed in the box.
That last point is where most Houston yards get stuck. We will not pretend the sensor drops in with zip ties. If your shop has a hydraulics person, we send the sensor and the 12 ft cable and stay on the phone for the indicator setup. If you need us on the machine, say so on the call. We calibrate the same industrial equipment we sell. We do not install or service truck scales or rail scales.
Which carton we actually ship
Two live pages are the same TR-1-NK-HE indicator kit. The GSC-winning slug is front-end-loader-scale-bucket-loader-scale-made-in-usa at $1,048. The sibling listing is forklift-front-end-loader-hydraulic-scale-system-backhoe-on-board-weighing at $1,149. Same model, same sensor, same 12 ft cable. If you are not sure which URL to use, call the shop and we will put you on one carton.
Need a ticket on the mast or in the cab? That is the TR-1-NK-HE with 54005 thermal printer at $1,499. The printer records each lift and the running total. The printer is a separate carton on the $1,048 kit. Do not assume it is in the base box.

What is in the box, and what is not
TR-1-NK-HE digital indicator — 6-digit 0.56 in high-brightness LED, water-resistant sealed housing, stainless tilt bracket.
5,000 psi temperature-compensated hydraulic pressure sensor.
12 ft hook-up cable from sensor to display.
12 V power lead.
Not assumed: T-fitting, 24 / 36 / 48 V converter, 54005 printer on the base kit.
Output is serial printer / computer data. Warranty on the live page is a 1-year limited Tara Systems warranty. We will not invent an NTEP sticker on this hydraulic kit. The live PDPs do not call it legal-for-trade. If you are selling by the bucket to a customer, that is a different conversation — start with NTEP legal-for-trade and the shop, not a pressure sensor.
How we treat a Houston yard install
Most of the calls we get are Harris County and west-side yards that want on-board totals so the loader never leaves the pile. We talk through hose tap location, cable routing into the cab, and whether the operator needs lock-and-total or a printed ticket for the scale house. Then we set the indicator to the machine. Graduation steps change at 10,000 lb. If your typical lift is 4,000 lb of millings, that is a different conversation than a 20,000 lb bucket on a big loader.
After it is on the machine, we still want a known check weight or a trip across a floor scale you already trust. If the reading is wild after a hose swap, call us before you buy a second kit.
FAQ
Will this work on my forklift and my loader?
The TR-1-NK-HE is sold as a hydraulic forklift / loader scale. Capacity follows the machine. Confirm the hydraulic circuit can take the 5,000 psi sensor and that cab power is 12 V or that you ordered a converter. We will not guess a custom manifold over email.
Is a hydraulic loader scale legal for trade?
The live Tara pages do not claim NTEP. Treat this as process / yard weighing. Commercial sales by weight need an NTEP device that is placed in service — not a pressure sensor in a lift circuit.
Can you come to the yard?
