Industrial Floor Scale with a Ramp: What Houston Shops Order from Cypress

A Houston shop that still drives a pallet jack onto a dock plate and guesses the weight is the call we want. They ask for an industrial floor scale with a ramp. All Scales USA answers that from Cypress with a real 4×4 NTEP deck — not a truck scale, and not a pit we have not measured. The live pad we write from is the Echelon EH-1044: 48 × 48 in, 10,000 lb × 2 lb, NTEP Class III, $1,349. That price is live tonight. We are not changing it.

What the EH-1044 carton actually is
Brand Echelon. Model EH-1044. Deck only — no indicator in this carton. 10,000 lb × 2 lb. 48 × 48 in / 4 × 4 ft checkered steel, 3/16 in deck. Height 4 to 5.5 in on adjustable feet. Four nickel-plated alloy steel IP67 shear beams. 15 ft cable to the indicator you already own or the one we add. NTEP Class III, CC 15-085. Shipping weight about 240 lb on the Cardinal bulletin. Cardinal’s manufacturer pages (HTTP 200): Echelon EH series overview and Bulletin 418C PDF. The bulletin names EH-1044 vs EH-544 (5,000 lb × 1 lb). Ramps on the Cardinal page are optional model EH-501E, 28.5 in L × 48 in W. We do not have a live ramp SKU in the All Scales cart tonight. If you need the ramp, call (832) 766-5410 and we will source it or tell you we cannot.
Ramp vs pit — the Houston shop talk
Most Harris County rooms we walk do not want a pit. A surface 4×4 with one ramp lets a pallet jack roll on and roll off. You lose a little floor. You keep the slab. A pit looks cleaner and keeps the deck flush. It also means a concrete pour, drain questions, and a weekend you may not have. We will not pretend a pit is a one-hour job. If the jack already clears a 4 to 5.5 in lip, a ramp is the usual Cypress answer. If you are moving drums with a hoist, you may not need a ramp at all.
Pallets and a pallet jack — 4×4 10k plus a ramp is the common order.
Tight aisle — confirm the 48 in plus ramp length before the deck leaves Cypress.
Washdown or food — this EH-1044 is painted checkered steel, not a stainless washdown pit. Different leaf.
Legal-for-trade freight — NTEP on the deck is CC 15-085. Place-in-service is still Texas process: NTEP in Texas from Cypress.
Process only — say so. We can still sell the deck. We will not print a trade sticker you do not need.
The category is floor scales (52 live SKUs). NTEP leaf: NTEP legal for trade. After it is on the floor: Houston calibration call and scale calibration Houston. We do not sell or service truck scales or rail scales. If the load is hanging, that is a crane kit: 10,000 lb crane scale chooser.
Indicator, ramp, and the system we will not guess
The EH-1044 page is a deck. You still need an indicator. We will match one on the call — we will not drop a random head in the box and hope the 15 ft cable reaches a safe wall. A full Brecknell DCSB floor system is also live at $2,399. That listing does not print a deck size on the storefront. Call before you order a DCSB so we match 36×36, 48×48, or 59×59 and 2,500 / 5,000 / 10,000 lb. For a known 4×4 10k NTEP pad, the EH-1044 at $1,349 is the honest Cypress answer.
What we ask before the truck leaves
Forks, drums, or people? Capacity and deck size follow the load, not the brochure maximum.
Ramp, pit, or flush dock? We do not pour a pit from this post.
Which indicator do you already own? Bring the model. The 15 ft cable has to reach it.
NTEP placed in service, or process totals only?
Who is setting the feet. A 240 lb deck is not a one-person lift.
Always MNM Scales when the carton is a house kit. This Echelon deck stays Echelon / Cardinal. Shop address: 21249 FM 529 Rd, Cypress, TX 77433.
