Rice Lake Ishida iPC 30 lb Bench from Cypress

Aug 29
4 min read

A Houston mailroom that puts every carton on a 150 lb pole scale is paying for a digit it does not use. The portable 30 lb bench All Scales USA actually stocks in Cypress is the Rice Lake Ishida iPC — part 75457, $295.28, ten in stock. Live slug: rice-lake-ishida-ipc-portable-bench-scale-30-lb-capacity-75457. This post is the 30 lb single-display carton, not the 60 lb 75458 and not the IGX pole bench.

30 lb portable vs the 150 lb IGX

Live iPC specs: auto-range 0–15 lb × 0.01 lb and 15–30 lb × 0.02 lb. Platter 11 × 11.5 in. Six-digit 1 in LCD, single front display. NTEP Class III CC 02-139 (1,500 d). Factory cal; front-panel zero / tare. Two D cells not included (~500 hr). AC adapter 75473 is optional, not in this carton. Stainless cover 75739 is an option. Est. weight ~8 lb. Manufacturer: Rice Lake Ishida iPC Series.

The live 150 lb sibling is the Ishida IGX-150 — 150 lb × 0.05 lb, NTEP, $971.44. Pole-mount 25 mm VFD, 15.75 × 21.65 in stainless cover, die-cast base, checkweigh HI/LO, 10 PLUs, 120 VAC, NTEP Class III CC 05-020 at 1/3,000 d. If every inbound carton is 40–80 lb, the 30 lb iPC is the wrong ceiling. If you are a parcel counter, a bakery portion line, or a farmers-market table, do not buy a pole VFD you will never take off the bench.

Parcel and receiving from Cypress

Pete at pete@allscales.com, (832) 766-5410, asks what the heaviest parcel is this week. Under 30 lb with a finer 0.01 lb on the bottom half of the range, the iPC is the Cypress answer. Over 30 lb, we walk you to the IGX or another 150 lb NTEP bench. Leaves: bench scales and shipping and postal scales. Compact buyer guide: compact digital bench scale.

NTEP on the nameplate is not a Texas place-in-service. CC 02-139 is Class III at 1,500 d on this 30 lb model. Place it in service before a commercial sale by weight: NTEP in Texas and NTEP legal-for-trade. We will put a known mass on it at 21249 FM 529 Rd if you ask: Houston calibration call. Service: scale calibration Houston. No ISO 17025. No A2LA. No truck scales.

What is not in the carton

  • Two D cells — not included. Budget alkalines or call us before you assume they are in the foam.

  • AC adapter 75473 — optional, not in this 75457 carton.

  • Dual-display sibling and stainless cover 75739 — options, not this SKU.

Sister catalog: ek1200i. This is a Rice Lake / Ishida carton, not a house kit. When we do talk house kits, the name is always MNM Scales.

How we set up a 30 lb iPC from Cypress

The iPC is the portable NTEP bench we put on a Houston parcel counter when the heaviest box is a 25 lb mailer and the operator still wants 0.01 lb on the bottom of the range. Auto-range is why. Below 15 lb the increment is 0.01 lb. From 15 to 30 lb it is 0.02 lb. That is the live spec, not a brochure guess. Part 75457. Class III CC 02-139 at 1,500 d.

Bring two fresh D cells or say you want the optional 75473 adapter in the same order. The Rice Lake iPC catalog page we matched against the live All Scales copy says those cells and that adapter are not in the 75457 carton. We would rather add $20 of alkalines than take a callback that the scale is dead in the foam. Stainless cover 75739 is an option if the counter is wet. It is not this SKU.

Place-in-service is the conversation Cypress actually has on this body. NTEP on the nameplate is not a Texas sticker. We will put a known mass on the 11 × 11.5 in platter at 21249 FM 529 Rd if you ask. We will not invent same-day service, a TDA license we do not print, or ISO 17025. A bakery portion line and a UPS-style counter are both in-range jobs. A 50 lb inbound carton is not.

The IGX-150 at $971.44 is the pole VFD we sell when the counter is packing and checkweighing 60–120 lb. 10 PLUs, HI/LO, internal buzzer, 120 VAC only. You will not throw that pole in a van for a farmers market. The iPC is the van scale. About 8 lb, single front LCD, D cells. If you need a rear customer display, that is a dual-display iPC option, not this 75457 single-display carton. Call before you assume.

Clone iPC URLs exist. This post is the GSC 30 lb slug that was leaking impressions with no article. Compact benches that are not this Ishida live on the compact buyer guide. Shipping 150 lb Mettler bodies live on the PS60 vs BC-60U post. Do not stretch a 30 lb iPC into those jobs. Email pete@allscales.com a photo of the heaviest parcel if you are unsure.

Warranty on the live page is 1-year limited from the Rice Lake iPC catalog. Front-panel zero and tare are what the operator actually uses. Factory cal is in the carton story. If the scale will not zero on a wobbly folding table, the table is the problem. We will say that on the phone.
