1000 lb Wheelchair Scale in Houston: What Clinics Buy from Cypress
A Houston clinic that still borrows a chair scale from the next floor is wasting exam time. What we actually roll into a Houston exam room
The MS1000-LCD is a low-profile powder-coated deck with built-in 9° / 9% entry and exit ramps and a fixed stainless handrail. Flat deck is 31.5 × 25.2 in. Including ramps it is 31.34 × 38.26 in. The rail is 33.85 × 27.6 in. Four waterproof shear-beam cells sit under the plate. The indicator is the SBI 210 — six 1.5 in backlit digits — with weigh, tare, hold, BMI, print, and unit. The clinic install questions we ask from Cypress

Door and elevator width. The deck plus ramps is about 38 in long. A narrow exam door is why we ask before the truck leaves Cypress.
Chair width vs the 31.5 in flat. A wide rehab chair needs the ramps, not a guess.
Who is being weighed — chair plus patient, or standing at the rail. Hold and tare are on the SBI 210 for a reason.
Power. The carton includes a 9 V 600 mA US adapter. Six AA cells are optional and not in the box. Up to 37 hours on cells if you run that way.
Do you need a print ticket or a USB dump into the chart system? Ports are there. A cable is not assumed in the carton.

The spare adapter we keep on the shelf
The live MS1000-LCD carton already includes its 9 V 600 mA brick. Clinics still call when a wall-wart dies. The spare we stock is the Brecknell 52751-2305 12 V AC adapter — $59. The listing names MS-1000 / MS1000 and B130-class benches. Output on that page is a 12 V class brick. That is not the same print as the 9 V 600 mA supply in the MS1000-LCD box. Call (832) 766-5410 with a photo of the barrel and the voltage on the dead brick before we ship a spare. We would rather miss a $59 sale than cook a medical head.
When we send a handrail instead
If the patient stands and holds a rail, and you do not need a wheelchair deck, look at the Brecknell MS140-300 — 660 lb × 0.2 lb, $1,779. That is a 20.5 × 20.5 in stainless platform with padded rails and wheels. It is not NTEP. It is not a 1000 lb wheelchair scale. The medical leaf is medical and physician scales. Legal-for-trade vs clinic process
The live MS1000-LCD page does not print an NTEP CoC. Treat patient weighing in a clinic as the job on the carton — hold, tare, BMI — not a commercial sale by weight.
